Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) announced that its Board of Directors decided on August 25, 2026, to delist the company and all its shares from the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, after Abu Dhabi Power Corporation became the sole shareholder with 100% of the capital following the mandatory acquisition confirmed on August 13, 2026.

The company said in a disclosure to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange that the decision was based on powers granted under a special resolution at the General Assembly dated July 21, 2026.

TAQA explained that the completion of the mandatory acquisition of the remaining shares was confirmed by Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange on August 13, 2026, and accordingly, Abu Dhabi Energy Corporation became the owner of all the company’s shares.

The delisting comes as a next step following the transfer of full ownership of Taqa to a single shareholder, as there is no longer a diversified shareholder structure that requires the continued trading of the company's shares on the financial market.

The Board of Directors also decided to authorize any of its members, the company secretary, or any other person authorized by the Board, to take the necessary actions to complete the cancellation process, including submitting the required applications, paying the fees due, and issuing notifications to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, the Capital Market Authority, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
