The Saudi Stock Exchange’s main index (TASI) ended trading on Sunday with a notable increase of 0.78%, consolidating its position in the green zone, supported by a collective upward wave led by the financial services, construction and building, and real estate development sectors.
The session was characterized by a clear bias in favor of buying power, as the number of rising stocks exceeded the number of falling stocks by 188 gainers compared to 129 losers, while the shares of 23 companies closed with little change from their previous levels.
Performance of leading and top-performing stocks
The share of Naseej International Trading Company topped the list of the most rising shares during the session, achieving a jump of 5.92% (equivalent to 0.74 riyals) to close at a level of 13.24 riyals.
Shares of Laden Investment Company continued their upward trend, rising 5.38% (equivalent to SAR 0.10) to close at SAR 1.96. Similarly, shares of Eastern Development Company gained 4.65% (equivalent to SAR 0.60) to settle at SAR 13.51 at the end of trading.
Declines and weaker performance
Conversely, some stocks faced selling pressure, with Tabuk Agricultural Development Company's stock leading the declines, falling by 5.45% (equivalent to 0.49 riyals) to close at 8.50 riyals.
Abdullah Saad Mohammed Abu Moati Libraries Company's stock declined by 4.37% (equivalent to 1.64 riyals) to close at 35.86 riyals, while Nafouz Food Products Company's stock ended today's session down by 4.19% (equivalent to 0.28 riyals) to settle at 6.40 riyals.
Today's leading stock movement
Today’s market rise included most of the leading stocks in the Saudi market, with the exception of ACWA Power and Almarai, where the latter fell by 1.76% and the former by 0.23%.
