The Dubai Financial Market announced an amendment to the expiry date of individual stock futures contracts and DFMGI index futures contracts for March 2026, as the original expiry date coincided with the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

The market explained in a circular on Tuesday that the expiry date was changed from March 19, 2026 to March 18, 2026, because the market would be closed on the original date due to the official holiday.

He pointed out that this amendment comes in accordance with the specifications of the contracts, which stipulate that if the expiry date coincides with an official holiday, it is moved to the next working day.

He added that the final settlement of the contracts will take place on the first working day following the revised expiry date, which is March 23, 2026.

The Dubai Financial Market has set the Eid Al Fitr holiday for 2026, starting from Thursday, March 19, until Sunday, March 22, 2026.
