Bitcoin prices held near their highest level in eight months, reaching $86,500 during Wednesday's trading, supported by a strong rebound in capital inflows into exchange-traded funds (ETFs). This performance came amid renewed confidence from institutional investors and as markets awaited the outcome of the upcoming summit in Washington between US President Donald Trump and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.

Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have seen positive inflows of $1.71 billion since the start of the week, marking their best weekly performance since late August, according to data from SoSouValue. Cryptocurrency markets have maintained their gains despite the lack of recent regulatory legislation in Congress, benefiting from exceptions granted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that allow the offering of tokenized shares via blockchain technology.

Altcoins outperformed Bitcoin, with Ethereum rising 1.1% to $2,760.19 and XRP climbing 6.4%. Solana, Cardano, and Dogecoin also saw mixed gains, amid growing expectations that capital will flow into altcoins to capitalize on new regulatory initiatives for tokenizing shares.
